Winter vacation in Kashmir 2025 extended: Education Minister
On Friday, Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo officially announced that the winter vacation period for all classes in the Kashmir region has been further extended. Initially scheduled to end earlier, the vacations will now continue until March 6. This decision has been taken in consideration of various factors, likely including weather conditions and other relevant circumstances affecting the region.

While speaking to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Minister Itoo confirmed that all schools in the Valley are now set to reopen on March 7. The extension means that students, teachers, and school staff will have a longer break before returning to their academic activities. The government’s decision aims to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition back to school after the extended winter period.
Talking to News agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Itoo said, the schools in the Valley will reopen on March 7.
