NEET UG counselling 2025 registration begins; 78 candidates debarred from MBBS, BDS admissions

UP NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Candidates can apply and pay registration fee for round 1 on upneet.gov.in by July 28.

The Director General of Medical Education (DGME) has commenced the registration for the first round of Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility Entrance Test (UP NEET UG) counselling 2025 for admissions to state quota seats in MBBS, BDS programmes in government and private medical and dental colleges. Eligible candidates can apply for UP NEET UG 2025 counselling on the official website, upneet.gov.in. The last date for registration is July 28 till 11 am. NEET UG counselling 2025 live updates.

As per the UP NEET UG counselling schedule 2025, registered candidates can pay the registration fee and security money till 2 pm on July 18. To participate in the counselling process, applicants will be required to pay Rs 2,000.

DGME stated that only those candidates who have been declared qualified in the NEET UG 2025 are eligible to participate in the UP NEET UG 2025 counseling. At the time of registration, eligible candidates must select one nodal center for online document verification.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2025: Documents required, security deposit

Candidates must upload the following documents while registering for the UP MBBS, BDS admissions 2025:

  • High school or Class 10 marksheet or certificate
  • Intermediate or Class 12 marksheet
  • Reservation-related certificates (if applicable): OBC, SC, ST, EWS, Ex-Army, NCC, Freedom Fighter (FF), PWD
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)

The amount of security deposit for medical and dental seats in government and private colleges is as follows:

For seats in government medical/dental colleges Rs 30,000
For seats in private medical colleges Rs 2,00,000
For seats in private dental colleges Rs 1,00,000

Candidates who wish to participate in the counseling for seats in both government and private (medical and dental) colleges will be required to deposit a security amount of Rs 2,00,000. Moreover, those who wish to participate in the counseling for seats in both government and private dental colleges will be required to deposit a security amount of Rs 1,00,000.

UP NEET UG Counselling: Candidates debarred

Further, DGME has debarred 78 candidates for UP NEET UG counselling 2025 for not joining or leaving the seats allotted to them in stray vacancy round last year.

As per the UP NEET UG admission guidelines, “If any candidate does not take admission after allotment from the stray vacancy round, then the security amount deposited by such candidates will be confiscated and will be barred for UP NEET UG Counseling 2025-28.”

Also, if the concerned candidates leave the seat before completing the course after the counseling of the last cycle, then they will be debarred from the admission process of the next academic session.

The counselling authority has issued a list of debarred MBBS, BDS candidates with their names, allotted institute, and allotted course. The list includes 55 students including 47 MBBS and 8 BDS who did not join the seats and 23 candidates including 10 MBBS and 13 BDS for resigning the seats.
