The practical component includes an external practical exam (20 marks) and an internal assessment (10 marks). To pass, students must secure at least 7 marks in the external practical and 4 marks in the internal assessment.
This means that even if a student performs well in the theory exam, failure to achieve the required marks in the practical section can still result in failing the subject overall.
